Fans blast BBC journalist John Inverdale, accuse him of 'ignoring' Anthony Joshua during 'disrespectful' interview (video)

Fans have gone on twitter to blast veteran BBC journalist John Inverdale, accusing him of ignoring heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua in a new interview.
Inverdale, 58, was talking to Joshua following the culmination of the women's boxing semi-final involving Great Britain's Nicola Adams. The presenter was discussing Adams' chances of retaining her Olympic title when her opponent in the final, France's Sarah Ourahmoune, walked past the camera.

Rio Olympics: Nigeria's Blessing Okagbare qualifies for 4 x 100m relay final

Team Nigeria has one more chance to win a Gold medal at the Rio Olympics before it ends this weekend after Blessing Okagbare alongside Gloria Asumnu, Jennifer Madu and Agnes Osazuwa qualified for the finals of women’s 4x100m relay.
The Nigerian quartet who finished in 42.55 seconds came second in heat two behind Germany who clocked 42.18seconds. Nigerians will hope the team can do well on the finals slated for 2.15am Saturday in Nigeria to win the country's first medal at the sporting event.... Goodluck Girlz...

Lagos state has been ranked the world's third worst city to live in. This is according to the 2016 World livability ranking released by the Economist Intelligence Unit yesterday Thursday August 18th. Out of 140 countries that was used during the survey, Lagos came 138th just above war-ravaged Tripoli and Damascus... this is harsh oooo...

Chibok girls: BBOG members plan several marches to the presidency

A statement released today by the advocacy group for the missing Chibok girls, Bring Back Our Girls, states that the group will from Monday August 22nd commence actions that will compel the Federal government and international community to take decisive measures towards the rescue of the kidnapped Chibok school girls. According to the statement, they will be marching to the presidency and also engage in media interactions and others.

A life-size, flesh-coloured statue of a completely naked Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump created by a group of artists known as Indecline, popped up at Union Square in downtown Manhattan, New York but has since been removed by authorities.
Comedian Alibaba shared his opinion via Instagram, asking what would happen if anyone dared to do such to President Buhari. He wrote, "Beauty of democracy... I must say this is too extreme though. But can you imagine what will happen to anyone who does this to Buhari? Especially after what happened to the person who named a dog after him... shoot at sight straight!"

Massage chair user in Japan tweets for help and alerts police after falling asleep and getting locked in store

A massage chair user in Japan had to make use of Twitter to plead for help after he slept off in an electrical store while enjoying his massage and woke up to find the store locked and the shutters lowered.
The man, identified only by his Twitter handle @_Asphodelus, tweeted, “Oh man, I’m locked in!”
